SERENE QANDIL

Pro Bono Scholar

Serene (she/her/hers) is a NY State Pro Bono Scholar and passionate about advocating for women's equality, equal pay, and LGBTQ+ rights. 

 

Serene is a Senior Editor of Family Law Quarterly, a review published by the ABA and considered to be the leading family law review. Prior to law school, Serene founded a non-profit organization called "Side by Side" to empower young women in high school. She hosted workshops during lunch breaks about various topics related to women's rights such as challenging stereotypes, workplace discrimination, sexual harassment, and mental health. 


Serene is a third-year law student at New York Law school and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science from Concordia University, in Montreal, where she majored in Philosophy.
